Progressions are a concept in Astrology where an aspect which occurs 3 days after a natal event will have an influence in the 3rd year. If the aspect lasted the whole day then its influence would be felt for the whole year, and if only part of the day then only part of the year. The reader is encouraged search the internet for more information on the theory of progressions.
Normal Transits are aspects between the current position of a planet and the natal position of another planet (or the natal position of the same planet). Progressed Transits use the progressed position of the natal planet. In that case, if the planet was in zero degrees for 3 days (a slow moving planet), it would have a progressed position of zero degrees for 3 years. The progressed transit is when the current planet is making an aspected transit to the progressed planet position.
