What’s New in Optuma Version 1.5

Overview

Optuma v1.5 is the 5th major features update since the initial release of Optuma. This update includes new datafeeds, tools, and indicators, improvements to existing features, and additional scripting functions. It’s now easier to see relative strength charts in any chart type, and you can share your script formulas and custom toolbar buttons with other Optuma users.

• Relative Index option added to Chart Properties: quickly see relative strength charts
• New Tool - Drawdown Trailing Stop
• New Tool - Pythagorean Channel
• New Tool - Gann Square Range Marker [Gann Module only]
• New Watchlist Column Type - Alerts
• Custom Tool Bar folders can now be Exported / Imported
• Script formulas can now be Exported / Imported (individual or entire group)
• Analysis Cluster scripts can now be Exported / Imported
• US Industry ETF components added to Optuma Symbol Lists (eg SOXX, SMH, IBB, IYT)

• Show Bar supports additional display options (Custom Text Labels, Symbols, Astro Symbols)
• Show Bar supports offsets displaying past the last bar of a chart
• Parent Layers can now be hidden and have a child item set to visible (refer to Hiding a Layer section)
• Scanning Manager can now support non Boolean scripts (in some instances)
• Bubble Chart has a new property allowing lines to be plotted at zero for both scales
• Website field from Fundamental data now clickable
• Cloning a Layer now also supports Cloning an entire View
• Info Panel updated view to better utilise space
• Relative Comparison Chart now includes a drop down for currency conversions (refer to the Converting Currency section)
• Gann Square tools now support divisions up to 16 (see Properties section)
• Time Measure tool labels have been adjusted
• Volume at Price tool - Weeks, Months and Years lookback options now available
• Historical Comparison Chart - New Trim Length added “Fixed Length”
• Geometric Average option added to Breadth Module
• Percent display option added to the Field Type property in the Chart Element tool
• Breadth Tool can now use Optuma breadth data (if enabled)
• Template options disabled by default (unless existing Template files exist)
• Log Scale can now be controlled on a per-layer basis
• Auto-login enabled for Optuma’s websites (refer to the Help section of the article)
• Command Line Builder includes Images as an output format for scans ran via CMD
• Send Charts Directly to Twitter
• Keltner Channels now include a Calc Style property

Scripting

• DayofWeek() Function added
• DataField() now supports Bid / Ask values
• ‘More Info’ link added to Scripting function properties
• Editing Default Scripts will now automatically create a newly named item
• NEARESTALERT() function added

Astronomical

• Ephemeris Tool auto selects High / Low date for Monthly charts
• Gann Planetary Lines - now with Orb size and updated Planetary Lines property
• Eclipse tool can now be set to show lines only (no symbols).
