Saving Page as Image File

Author: Optuma Team Last updated: Sep 1, 2022 14:52

Overview

This option allows you to take a snapshot of your screen and save it as an image file, which can then be emailed or included in other documents. By default, the file is saved in Portable Networks Graphics (.png) format in the Documents/Optuma/Temp/Images folder.

To save and print a PDF of a chart instead of an image file see here.

How to Save Page as an Image File

There are three methods available:

Method 1

With your workbook open at the chart you wish to save an image of, click on File > Save Page As Image File.

Method 2

Right-click on the chart’s page tab, from under the Actions menu select Send To and from there select Image File. Saving as a Bitmap is fine for emails and websites, but for high-resolution images for large images or printing in documents select Vector.

Method 3

Add a custom button to the toolbar to save the image. Click the ‘+’ on the toolbar and click Add Action, and from under Action select Save Page as Image File.

Tip: edit the label to make the button smaller.

In all cases, a window will pop up prompting you to name and save the file.

Professional/Enterprise Services clients (or those with the Publishing Module add-on) can also add Chart Headers and your company logo. Also, please note that the Chart Key feature mentioned in the video is not available with a Trader Services subscription.

For information on publishing entire workbooks/watchlists rather than individual screenshots see the [articles here](https://help.optuma.com/kb/faq.php?cid=54).
