Setting up Tradable Data in Optuma

Overview

This article will take you through the process of setting up Optuma to use real-time data sourced from Tradable.

Before you configure Optuma to use Tradable data, please ensure that you have the following:

  • A Tradable Account (Username and password). If you do not have an account you can register here.
  • Optuma with a Trader Services or Professional Services subscription. If you do not have an active subscription, please contact the sales team.

Process

With Optuma open, left-click the Data menu and select the Configure Data Providers option.

In the window displayed, locate the Tradable option, left-click it and select Next.

In the window displayed you will be prompted to confirm that you have an account with Tradable. If you have an account with Tradable then select Next.

Your web browser will be opened to the following page on the Tradable website. If your account is already created then select, I already have a Tradable login.

The following sign in page will display where you will need to enter your username and password. Then select Sign in.

After signing in you will receive the following notice requesting verification to allow Optuma to connect to the Tradable account. Click Allow to provide the authorisation.

After Optuma has been authorised on the Tradable website you can then complete the configuration in Optuma.

In the window that displays left-click on Foreign Exchange, then click the > button.

Once the exchange has been added to the right-hand side, click the Apply button.

To open a chart press F3 on your keyboard (or go to New > Single Chart > Bar Chart). The Security Selection window will open.

Tradable 9

Left-click the Foreign Exchange folder.

Left-click in the Type Code field and enter the FX code you wish to view (AUDUSD, for example) and press Enter on your keyboard. The chart will open and you will have access to Intraday time frames.
