Will my MA4 or MA6 Files work with Optuma?

The short answer to this question, is no. Unfortunately, MA4 and MA6 workbooks, templates, scans, etc. will not be accessible in Optuma. Early on in the development process of Optuma we had every intention to include a workbook converter as we had in MA4, MA5 and MA6. However as we started the coding process it soon became obvious that the traditional system of workbook conversion was not going to work in this case. Optuma is a total rebuild, from the ground up. Every tool in Optuma is now based on the Optuma scripting language. This allows for custom tools and formulas to be created both in Optuma, and via the Software Developers Kit, which will be available to other programmers to code their own modules. While this change has brought a lot of new functions and options to Optuma, it came at the cost of the workbook converter. The new workbook file format is more streamlined, producing smaller and more stable workbooks than was possible with earlier version of MA. For now, MA4, MA6 and Optuma can run alongside each other so you do not have to give up all of your previous work as it can still be accessed while using Optuma if you wish.
