Optuma no longer connecting to TWS

With the latest version of TWS, Interactive Brokers have made a change to the Socket port number within the API settings in Trader Workstation. As a result, this then prevents Optuma from connecting to TWS.

So if you have just updated TWS and now Optuma no longer connects, please follow the below procedure.

1. Close Optuma

2. In Trader Workstation go to File > Global Configuration

3. From the window that now displays select API > Settings

4. Make sure that Enable ActiveX and Socket Clients are still selected

5. Deselect the check box next to Read-Only API

6. Change the Socket port to 7496

7. Select Apply and then OK

After making this change, restart Optuma.
