Overview

As detailed here, Enterprise Services subscribers connected to a Bloomberg datafeed can bring in Bloomberg data as External Data Fields (EDFs). Many have default settings, but these can be changed using the Override function.

In the example below, the Currency Adjusted Market Cap field of the Japanese stocks will be set to display in US Dollars.

  • Add the Currency Override field (EQY_FUND_CRNCY) under Data > External Data Fields > New > Bloomberg Field
  • Tick the Override box and enter the currency, eg USD

  • Add the Currency Adjusted Market Cap to the External Data Fields (CRNCY_ADJ_MKT_CAP).
  • Add the market cap columns to a watchlist and the adjusted market cap field will be displayed in USD
